Valves of Human Heart
Valves are present in the pores of heart to prevent the backward flow of the blood and to prevent the mixing of oxygenated and carbon dioxide rich blood. There are several valves present in the human heart and they are-
- Tricuspid valve
- Bicuspid valve
- Pulmonary valve
- Aortic valve
- Eustachian valve
- Coronary valve

1. Tricuspid Valve
- There are three membraneous caps in this valve.
- This valve is present between the right atrium and right ventricle.
- It prevents the backward flow of blood from right ventricle to right atrium.
2. Bicuspid Valve
- There are two membraneous caps in this valve.
- This valve is present between left atrium and left ventricle.
- It prevents the backward flow of blood from left ventricle to left atrium.
3. Pulmonary Valve
- This valve is present between the left ventricle and the pulmonary artery.
- This valve is tri-flap like semilunar valve.
4. Aortic Valve
- This valve is present between the left ventricle and the aorta.
- This is a tri-flap like semilunar valve.
5. Eustachian Valve
- This valve is present between the inferior venacava and the right atrium.
6. Coronary Valve
- It is present between the coronary sinus and the right atrium.
