Assessment and monitoring of some physio-chemical parameters and fish fauna found in the Shitalakshya River, Bangladesh.

The Shitalakshya River, a crucial water body in Bangladesh, is under increasing stress from pollution caused by industrial and domestic discharges.

This study focuses on the assessment and monitoring of key physicochemical parameters, including Temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Nitrite, Nitrate, and Ammonium, along with the diversity of fish fauna.

The findings aim to evaluate the river’s ecological health and provide insights for its conservation and sustainable management.
